Ribbon Blender is suited for solids blending where the material is less than free flowing. They are available in the customary U-Shaped trough with a variety of agitator arrangements.

Ribbon Blender machine Operating Principle

The rotation of the ribbon flights near the vessel wall cause the material to move towards the centre of the mixing vessel. The rotation of the inner flights directs the material in the opposite direction towards the vessel walls. The counter current, axial flow of materials, combined with the radial flow due to the action of inner and outer ribbon flights results in homogenous blending of the process material.

Capacity: Ribbon blenders can be manufactured in a wide range of capacities. Blenders upto 10 m3 are common. The blender capacities can be as high to 50 m³.

Optional Features

The ribbon blender may be provided with an external jacket for heating or cooling the contents of the mixing vessel.

The ribbon blender can be provided with liquid spray arrangement for coating the powder materials.
